In Madhya Pradesh, women contested and won on reserved and non-reserved seats in 2015 elections

In Karnataka, one Samaj Shilpi won in the 2015 Gram Panchayat elections

The long term objective is to strengthen the Gram Panchayat to perform not just its administrative functions, but to bring about an overall transparent system of governance. and implenent the several state and centrally sponosred schemes effectively.
